What we do
St Augustine’s Youth Music Group was formed in September 2012 with the purpose of enhancing the liturgy at our Sunday 10am Family Mass. At present, the instruments represented are Flutes, Guitars, Clarinet, Oboe, Alto Sax and Keyboard with occasional use of the Organ. Emphasis is placed on contemporary music and is arranged specifically for our instruments.
As well as providing music for the 10am Family Mass, the Youth Music Group have provided music for a variety of Church services such as the Annual Corpus Christi procession, Confirmation and First Holy Communion Masses. They have also ventured further afield to a number of parishes such as St Benedict’s Easterhouse and St Mungo’s Townhead.

When we meet
We meet every Sunday at 9.45am in the Organ Loft. Regular rehearsals also form part of our routine.

How to join
We are always on the lookout for new members, especially strings, bass and percussion. Whatever musical talents you have, you will be made most welcome.

Are you involved in the Caritas Awards and play an instrument? We Need You!!
