The parish has professionally published a book to commemorate our 125 years of history. This 80 page, full colour A4 book narrates the early days of our foundation as the new Catholic Mission in Langloan, leading right up to the present day. Parish Pilgrimage: Day 5

We began today with a walking tour of the historical centre of this medieval city. We then celebrated Holy Mass in the Cathedral with the Archbishop of Santiago and thousands of Pilgrims who had Judy completed the Camino walk. Since today is Pentecost Sunday there was a special Procession before Mass, at the end of which we witnessed the swinging of the enormous thurible which is synonymous with this Cathedral. Parish Pilgrimage: Day 4

This morning we left the medieval city of Oviedo to head south west to the ancient pilgrimage city of Santiago, the resting place of St James the Apostle. Along the route we stopped at a viewing point to survey the city and the towers of the ancient Cathedral which dominates the skyline. On arrival at our hotel most pilgrims took to the narrow streets of this beautiful city for a stroll before dinner. Parish Pilgrimage: Day 3

This morning we said goodbye to Our Lady’s Shrive in Lourdes to begin the next stage of our Pilgrimage journey. Before leaving Lourdes we celebrated Holy Mass in the convent chapel of the Poor Claire Sisters. On our journey along the beauitful northern coastline we stopped for lunch in San Sebasti├ín, before our arrival in the medieval city of Oviedo.
