Parish Pilgrimage: Day 4

This morning we left the medieval city of Oviedo to head south west to the ancient pilgrimage city of Santiago, the resting place of St James the Apostle. Along the route we stopped at a viewing point to survey the city and the towers of the ancient Cathedral which dominates the skyline. On arrival at our hotel most pilgrims took to the narrow streets of this beautiful city for a stroll before dinner. Parish Pilgrimage: Day 3

This morning we said goodbye to Our Lady’s Shrive in Lourdes to begin the next stage of our Pilgrimage journey. Before leaving Lourdes we celebrated Holy Mass in the convent chapel of the Poor Claire Sisters. On our journey along the beauitful northern coastline we stopped for lunch in San Sebasti├ín, before our arrival in the medieval city of Oviedo. Parish Pilgrimage: Day 2

We began today with a visit to Hosanna House, the home of HCPT. We then celebrated Holy Mass in Bartres, a place where St Bernadette spent time as an infant and then later as a young girl. After lunch there was a walking tour of the sites associated with St Bernadette’s life. In the afternoon some pilgrims visited the Baths or the Adoration Chapel, the lower Stations of the Cross or the 3 chapels of the main basilica. Parish Pilgrimage: Day 1

Day 1 of our Pilgrimage: Last night we arrived in the Marian Shrine of Lourdes, France to begin the first leg of our 3 part Pilgrimage. This morning we attended the International Mass in the underground basilica alongside 25,000 other pilgrims. After our Guide gave us a walking tour of the Grotto site and shrine area we then celebrated the Stations of the Cross. In the afternoon some pilgrims visited the famous Lourdes Baths, whilst others walked the Eucharistic Procession. Tonight concluded with a powerful candlelit Rosary Procession. Enjoy the photos! Parish Jubilee Mass & Fun Day

This year we are┬ácelebrating the 125th of the founding of our Parish and we warmly invite everyone to join us on Sunday 11th June 2017 for a special day of celebrations. At 12noon, we will have a special Mass of Thanksgiving celebrated by His Lordship, Rt. Rev. Joseph A. Toal, Bishop of Motherwell.
