Many thanks to all those who attended our Mission services last week. It was a truly blessed time for our parish and a great way to mark this special Jubilee Year with the presence of Fr Kevin & Sr Briege. I was especially delighted at the numbers of people who attended the Reconciliation Service on Monday night. Many miracles and conversions come from confession so it was wonderful to see so many coming to receive the Lord’s mercy in the sacrament. Thanks, also to those who came on Thursday night for Holy Mass and the Eucharistic Healing Service. This was surely the high point of our Mission Week. Those who attended spoke of the tangible faith they felt in the Church, helped by the magnificent singing from the congregation. I am sure the Lord touched many hearts and minds through the healing power of the Blessed Sacrament.

Alongside the services at our Church Fr. Kevin and Sr. Briege also met with the clergy and religious of the Diocese, as well as the teaching staff at St. Ambrose High and the enclosed Poor Clare Sisters in their Monastery in Bothwell during their visit before returning to Dublin.

Finally, I wish to thank all those who helped around the Church, Parish Centre and Parish House during the Mission days. I am always grateful for the way you serve the parish so generously.

God bless, Fr. Kane
