The Sacrament of First Holy Communion was celebrated in St. Augustine’s this year over the morning Masses of two Sundays (13th & 20th May 2012) with almost fifty of our young Primary Four children being presented for the Sacrament. (For more pictures from the Masses click here.) The breakfast tea in the Hall after each Mass also gave guests an opportunity to meet each other and socialize before heading-off for private celebrations.
It was a memorable occasion, particularly for parents, grandparents, families and teachers, as well as for the parish community, as we watched these young people receiving the Lord for the very first time. Please God this occasion will be one we all remember with fondness for many years to come, and may it be an opportunity for all our young people to renew their commitment to remain close to Jesus, not only today but for their whole lives.
We offer our congratulations to all our First Communicants, as well as to their families and friends, as they realize this next important milestone in their lives.
